Top Marks is led by a Team that cares deeply about serving Students, Parents, and Schools. Across customer service, school partnerships, product development, production, operations, and finance, our Team works together to deliver quality, consistency, and support that Schools and Families can count on. Together, our Team brings over 150 years of school uniform and apparel industry experience, helping us serve Schools and Families with knowledge, care, and consistency.
Deb Ross
Director of Sales
Deb brings more than 35 years of apparel industry experience, including the last 15 in school uniforms. She leads new business development, school retention, contract renewals, and ongoing relationship management, while also supporting new product development, school-specific programs, annual fittings, and customer service events. Deb is an avid sports fan and loves spending time with friends and family, especially her two daughters.
Gary Serra
CEO
Gary brings more than 25 years of experience in the school uniform industry and leads Top Marks with a clear focus on reliability, service, and long-term partnership. He is committed to supporting Canadian school communities with care and consistency. Outside of work, Gary enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and exploring new places together.
Hank Benckhuysen
Director of Warehouse Operations
Hank has been with Top Marks for over 25 years. He leads warehouse operations, with responsibility for inbound and outbound inventory flow, stock accuracy, and timely order picking and shipping, especially during the busy season. Hank takes great pride in keeping logistics running smoothly. Outside of work, he enjoys camping, hiking, and canoeing.
Jaime Kiernan
Director of Order Fulfillment
Jaime has been with Top Marks for over 20 years. She leads fulfillment operations with a focus on making sure every order ships accurately and on time, working closely with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to keep the process seamless. Jaime takes pride in the coordination it takes to deliver quality uniforms efficiently to customers across Canada. Outside of work, she enjoys time at her family cottage, where the quiet and beauty of the Canadian outdoors bring her balance.
Jenn Altares
Director of Order Management
Jenn has been with Top Marks for over 25 years. She oversees wholesale accounts, manages the data entry team for accuracy and efficiency, and plays a key role on our WEB team. Jenn takes pride in keeping the operational backbone of the business running smoothly from order to delivery. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, cheering her kids on at their activities, exploring new places, and enjoying the outdoors.
Jenny Jacobs
Senior Account Manager
Jenny brings more than 15 years of experience in client service and operational coordination across educational and non-profit settings. As Senior Account Manager, she supports schools and families with a strong focus on service, organization, and relationship management, while helping ensure fittings, seasonal operations, and day-to-day processes run smoothly. Jenny is bilingual in English and French and takes pride in delivering a high level of care, consistency, and responsiveness to the communities we serve.
Jeremy Levine
Director of Purchasing and Decoration
Jeremy has been with Top Marks for over five years. He oversees purchasing and the planning and execution of decoration processes, with a focus on sourcing the right products, maintaining quality consistency, and delivering on time. He is passionate about continuous improvement and building strong supplier relationships. In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys pickleball, golf, and a good cigar with friends.
John Milne
Production Manager
John has been with Top Marks for over 25 years. He oversees garment production, fabric purchasing and testing, along with the efficiency of our internal cutting and sewing operations. His experience includes managing contractor relationships, coordinating with fabric suppliers, and resolving production challenges as they arise, all with a strong commitment to the quality and reliability that define our products. John is a lifelong sports fan, especially hockey and football.
Laurent Azran
VP of Operations
Laurent is focused on ensuring Top Marks’ production, fulfillment, and customer delivery systems run with efficiency, precision, and care, from factory floor to family doorstep. He is passionate about continuous improvement and empowering teams to deliver the highest quality uniforms possible. As a parent of three daughters who attend a Top Marks school, he brings a personal connection to the families we serve. Outside of work, he is an avid and competitive tennis player.
Lisa Soucy
Director of Customer Service
Lisa has been with Top Marks for 30 years and is known for resolving complex customer situations through active listening and thoughtful problem-solving. She takes pride in building and mentoring a team that delivers consistent, high-quality service to families. After a busy week, Lisa and her husband enjoy treating themselves to dinner and a nice bottle of wine on Fridays.
Victoria Kuzmicheva
Controller
Victoria has been with Top Marks for over 10 years and brings a strong commitment to excellence and precision in financial management. Her expertise includes timely reporting, budgeting, and internal controls that help keep our business on solid footing. Outside of spreadsheets and financial models, she enjoys painting, baking, cooking, and taking long road trips with her family.
Yannick Dumont
Production Director
Yannick brings deep technical expertise and a hands-on understanding of garment production. His work includes marker making, pattern adjustments, and ensuring end-to-end efficiency in the cutting room. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking and playing sports, especially softball.
Yi Li
Business Analyst
Yi brings a strong cross-functional business background with experience in research, analysis, and strategic planning. As Business Analyst, she supports teams by gathering insights, identifying patterns, and helping turn business needs into clear, actionable plans. With a Master of Management from UBC Sauder, Yi is skilled at working across functions, analyzing information, and supporting thoughtful decision-making that helps keep projects and operations moving forward.
